The National Two-Year College Math Competition - Round 2

$200 first prize for the highest Mt. SAC scorer (highest total for both rounds)
Test does not require knowledge of Calculus.

All Mt SAC students who do not already have a two year degree or higher are eligible.
Scholarship Opportunities
Applications for the Gerald Peter Memorial Scholarship are available in
the Financial Aid Office and on the
Mt. SAC scholarships website.
Deadline April 1, 2009.
To be eligible, a Mt. SAC student must meet one of the following two requirements:
1. A non-mathematics/non-science track student who has completed at least TWO of the following
courses at Mt. SAC with a grade of A in BOTH: Math 71 (=Math 71A/B or Math 72),
Math 100, Math 110, Math 130, Math 140
2. A mathematics/science track student who has completed at least TWO of the following courses
at Mt. SAC with a grade of A in both: Math 150, Math 160, Math 180, Math 181, Math 280, Math 285

AMATYC National Community College Math Contest
Friday, March 7, 3:00 P.M. Room 40-111
Bring a graphing calculator. If you need one, check it out from the MARC.
Exam problems cover topics in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, and
Probability.
Prizes for total score of the Fall and Spring exams: $200, $80, $40, $20 and $10
for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Places
You must be a Mt. SAC student who does not already have a bachelor's degree.
